Making something special at Tempo Nashville for musician and host Javier Solis and producer Tim Romero yesterday. Fifty Oars transformed the storied coffee shop into a TV production studio for a day and captured a great interview and live music session (with audience) with the incomparable Rachael Lampa and the Tempo house band.
With two distinct lighting universes, two distinct camera setups featuring five total cameras, from load-in to load-out, all in 9.5 hours with a two-man crew. Exhausting, but absolutely glorious. Fifty Oars provided three cameras, all lighting and support equipment for the day, as well as sound equipment for the interview. We even used our interview mics to capture a quasi-ORTF stereo recording of the house mix and ambience during the live music session.
The pilot episode is currently in post-production at Neon World Media with producer Tim Romero.
